What is Yoga?

The word yoga itself means “union”: of the individual consciousness or soul with the Universal Consciousness or Spirit. Though many people think of yoga only as physical exercises — the asanas or postures that have gained widespread popularity in recent decades — these are actually only the most superficial aspect of this profound science of unfolding the infinite potentials of the human mind and soul.

Taking regular yoga classes will marry your spirit with your mind. In the class you will practice asanas (establish yoga positions), explore breathing technique and finish with a short meditation. Under the supervision and guides of our qualified yoga teachers you will learn to develop strength, flexibility and stamina calm your mind and connect with your body that will have an effect of your day to day life.
Yoga asanas can be challenging and strong however your teacher will be able to offer modification / progression to your own ability level. Believing in yourself and strengthening your mind will make it all possible through this ancient practice.
